Fourth in the series "Understanding Contemporary Art" by art historian Nancy G. Heller
Nancy Heller delivered her fourth and final lecture of the season to a packed crowd (51 members) at the Chevy Chase Club, wrapping up our lecture season. Today's lecture focused on "Erasing Boundaries: Redefining Art by the Innovative Use of Traditional Materials and Techniques". The techniques she highlighted were Stained Glass - Judith Schaechter Needlework - Faith Ringold Book Binding - Molly Van Nice Photography - Cindy Sherman Performing Arts - Spaulding Gray "Kitsch"
