Lecture: Mary Morton, Curator & Head of Department of French Paintings, National Gallery of Art
Mary Morton presented a sneak peek of her upcoming exhibition, Cézanne Portraits. This exhibition is the first time Cézanne's portraiture has been examined in depth and to quote Brian Boucher of ArtNet, "Dozens of portraits by French Post-Impressionist master Paul Cézanne will come together in a traveling show that is sure to be a blockbuster." Nearly 60 paintings will be assembled from private and public collections worldwide, representing a quarter of Cézanne's output in that genre.
