Mary Morton presented a sneak peek of her upcoming exhibition, Cézanne Portraits. This exhibition is the first time Cézanne's portraiture has been examined in depth and to quote Brian Boucher of ArtNet, "Dozens of portraits by French Post-Impressionist master Paul Cézanne will come together in a traveling show that is sure to be a blockbuster." Artist Studio Visit: Printmaking
We visited the local studio of Lily Press where we were treated to demonstrations of woodblock printmaking. Master printmaker, Susan Goldman, worked alongside printmaker, Eve Stockton, who is known for her large-scale woodcut prints, to make beautiful multi-layered prints. Eve's prints are nature/science-based and have been exhibited at the National Academy of Science and reproduced on covers of Nature Genetics Magazine.
