Archives of American Art

Founded in 1954, The Archives of American Art collects, preserves, and makes available primary sources documenting the history of the visual arts in the United States. It is free and open for your research needs. Make an appointment and go. Fascinating. We all had the opportunity to hold scrap books, letters and home made Christmas cards made by such luminaries as Georgia O'Keefe, Jackson Pollock, Ad Reinhardt and others.
